Celebrity Cruise Lines ship Founded in 1990 as an offshoot of the Greek line Chandris Inc., Celebrity Cruises is now owned by Royal Caribbean International. A premium cruise line offering gourmet cuisine, sophisticated service and a quality finish throughout its ships, Celebrity has a wide range of itineraries including a strong presence in Alaska, Europe and the Caribbean. Celebrity's ships can also be found in South America, Hawaii and its patented Bermuda–New York cruise. Their large ships fall into two classes: Century Class includes Century, Galaxy and Mercury and are all about 78,000 tons carrying 1870 passengers; Millennium class includes Constellation, Infinity, Millennium and Summitt which are 91,000 tons and carry 1950 passengers. Children's facitilites on Celebrity have improved over the years and the line now attracts families as well as its traditional clientele. Celebrity recently introduced small ship luxury cruising with their Azamara Cruises. This includes their Journey class of ships and Solstice class planned for 2008. The ships offer "out-of-the ordinary destinations".

Officers are Greek and service staff are international.
