For some, this cruise company is synonymous with Alaska and for many years
operated the SS Universe, built in 1953.
World Explorer retired this ship in 1995 and now has a 23,000-ton leased
vessel, the Universe Explorer, offering a
casual atmosphere on 14-day Glacier Cruises from Vancouver to Seward and
back. This cruise is unique in that the company offers in-depth lectures
about Alaska. Passengers can gain college credits from these lectures
by registering when arriving onboard.
