Classification: Mainstream

Passenger/Space Ratio: 30

Website: www.wecruise.com

World Explorer Ship For some, this cruise company is synonymous with Alaska and for many years operated the SS Universe, built in 1953. World Explorer retired this ship in 1995 and now has a 23,000-ton leased vessel, the Universe Explorer, offering a casual atmosphere on 14-day Glacier Cruises from Vancouver to Seward and back. This cruise is unique in that the company offers in-depth lectures about Alaska. Passengers can gain college credits from these lectures by registering when arriving onboard.

Officers and service staff are Chinese and Filipino.
