Celebrity links up with Boston Red Socks

Red Sox nation, listen up! You’re going to want to hear this. Celebrity Cruises and the Red Sox organization have become official partners. What does this mean to you? Giveaways, discounts and an impending cruise to the Caribbean—Red Sox style—where you can mingle with former baseball legends, WEEI broadcaster Joe Castiglione and the best sports fans of all time.

“Official Cruise Line of the Boston Red Sox”

With the partnership, fans will have several opportunities to win this trip to the Caribbean along with other vacation deals. And, every time the team executes a double play, fans will have a chance to win discounts on cruises.

Have you noticed the Celebrity Cruises banners popping up at Fenway? You’ll be seeing more of those. The marketing initiative highlights the brands’ shared goals of premium experiences and entertainment.

Celebrity Silhouette

The ship can hold up to 2,886 Red Sox fans and sets sail in January 2014. It couldn’t be better timing, considering the average temperature in Boston in January is 27 degrees.  While you are discovering Mayan ruins in Cozumel, Uncle Bobby will be shoveling snow. While you’re playing MLB 2014 at one of the XBox stations onboard the ship, cousin Danny is chipping ice off his windshield.

The modern, upscale ship leaves Ft. Lauderdale on Jan. 12 and returns Jan. 18, 2014. Stops include Cozumel, Grand Cayman, Jamaica and Celebrity’s own private island, Labadee. Cruisers can experience snorkeling, ziplining, parasailing, bobsleding and frolicking in the crystal blue waters of the Caribbean. In Labadee, you and your family can relax on Nellie’s Beach or have a fun-filled day bouncing and sliding on water trampolines at Arawak Aqua Park.

Sweet Caroline

Not only will you have an unforgettable experience with Red Sox former players and like-minded fans, you will sing “Sweet Caroline” at the top of your lungs in the middle of the high seas … in shorts … in January. You will have your seventh-inning stretch poolside, and you’ll be swaying with your new friends to “Take Me Out to the Ballgame” on karaoke night.

What’s in It for You?

So, what if you win cruise discounts at the games? How can you use them? Less than four hours from Boston is Cape Liberty in Bayonne, NJ, and it holds a ship that takes cruisers to Bermuda every Sunday from May 5 through Sept. 1, 2013. Not only does Celebrity Cruises offer round-trip rides to the port, the Celebrity Summit offers assistance to create an itinerary that fits your personal needs, onboard and off.
