P&O’s new flagship Britannia launched in 2015 is the line’s largest ship at 143,000 tons and carrying over 4300 passengers.

This cruise line, which began operations in 1837, was originally called the Peninsular Steam Navigation Company when running mail to Spain and Portugal (the “Peninsular”). P&O remains one of Britain’s favourite cruise lines, both for its affordability and its distinctly British atmosphere. The company offers cruises to the Med (round-trip from Southampton, England), the British Isles and several other European destinations as well as the Caribbean.

Officers are British, and crew are international.
